Do you believe the two Bali 9 ringleaders deserved their fate?Keep in mind of this information before you choose your answer,
- The group included 27-year-old Renae Lawrence from Newcastle who worked at the catering company Eurest. It was here she met 29-year-old Martin Stephens from Wollongong, 18-year-old Matthew Norman from Sydney, and her supervisor, 21-year-old Andrew Chan also from Sydney. By all accounts, Chan convinced the trio to join him in the smuggling operation - The two ringleaders, Sukumaran and Chan, were not new to this business when they got caught in 2005, according to reports. - The Age reported in 2005 that the duo were involved in two successful attempts —in August and October 2004 — and three bungled attempts to import heroin into the country, worth tens of millions of dollars and that all the operations had links to a massive Asian drug cartel known as Crescent Moon. |
